The Custodian April 10, 2014
The Portuguese tactician entered the pitch to approach referee Chris Foy in the 90th minute of the match, as the hosts looked set to clinch all three points.
Although Mourinho denied the charge and requested a personal hearing, the ruling was upheld yesterday and he was also warned about his future conduct.
After the game, Mourinho had told reporters: “Maybe it’s helpful that the [referee's] committee doesn’t send him [Foy] to our matches.
“I don’t have the right to request [that]. It’s just I think they have to analyse the situation and see if every time he has Chelsea – or not every time – but many times he has Chelsea and problems are there, I think maybe it would be a good decision.”
