In
a shocking footage by Sahara reporters, a drunken Police officer identified as
Tafa Mohammed with the Mobile Police,MOPOL, assaulted two women ; a fish seller
and a customer.
The
assault allegedly took place at Lewis Street, Lafiaji, Obalende on the Lagos
Island.
It
all began when the policeman in question approached the fish seller (street
vendor) for some fish to finish his beer and when she didn’t oblige his
request, he got mad.
Instantly, he descended on the woman and another lady who was buying food.
He
did not only beat the customer but threw her into the muddy water in the
street.
Eyewitnesses
pleaded with him to leave her alone, but he shot in the air. While he was doing
this, a second MOPOL officer watched.
The
torture reportedly caused internal injuries for the victim.
