gunmen, Friday killed two persons after raiding Kashimbilla community in Takum
Local Government Area of Taraba.
It
was gathered that the gunmen also kidnapped three women, including one
expectant mother in the process.
This
incident is coming barely three days after a similar attack was carried out in
the state where 10 people were killed and several houses razed.
Confirming the attack to newsmen in Jalingo, a member of the Taraba House of
Assembly, Mr Mark Useni, who represents Takum II Constituency said two women,
including a pregnant lady, were whisked away to an unknown destination.
However,
the Public Relations Officer of the Taraba Police Command, Mr Joseph Kwaji, who
also confirmed the incident, said only one person was killed and that many
houses were burnt.
Kwaji
who alleged that the gunmen were from Benue state said that the attack was
launched on Jukun, Tiv and Fulani residents in the area.
