2015: Former presidential aspirant congratulates APC, canvasses support for Buhari

A former presidential aspirant under the defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP, Alhaji Umaru Muhammadu Maizabura has commended the All Progressive Congress, APC, for its successful and peaceful convention.

Alhaji Maizabura, who is also the National Chairman of the deregistered National Democratic Liberty Party (NDLP) called on the new leadership of the APC to take the party to greater height by successfully wrestling power from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in 2015.
He called on the new leadership to disregard the call by some Nigerians on General Muhammadu Buhari not to contest for the presidency in 2015.

He said Buhari has the experience and wherewithal to carry the country to greater height.
“Buhari is the best candidate to rescue the country from the current security and economic challenges facing the nation.
“Buhari has gone round the 36 states campaigning and has 75 percent acceptance from all the states, irrespective of religious, ethnics or regional sentiment”, Maizabura stated.
He said judging by his record as minster of petroleum, governor, head of state and former chairman of the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund, (PTF), Buhari is the best product for Nigerians, adding that all Nigeria should support him.
Maizabura called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) to conduct free and fair election, as Nigerians are looking up to the institution in 2015.

He urged those who has phobia against Buhari to have a rest of mind, as according to him, Nigeria is under democratic rule, which necessitates the need for collective decision.
